Winter has come early

Post by ScottishPinz »

Took the Pinz out in the first snows of the year today, found a gritting lorry stuck after it had left the road!

No wonder great, great, great grandpa said the hell with chasing sheep around Sterling Castle and took the next boat to the south pacific. 80 and sunny here today; can't take much more of it though so it's off to Lake Tahoe next week for a white Christmas. Happy Holidays!!

I think we are about to be slammed. They are saying 12"+ in Va. mountains.

Hmm, lets see, my 303 has about 16" under the diffs, 35" tires. 2ft. under the frame. I think I'm ok! :)

And I'm driving up into that mess for Christmas. Won't be driving the Pinz however, too far for my rump and ears. Haven't seen snow in a while.

Scottish, great pic as always.

Russ, take it easy looks like you're heading in the wrong direction. North for the winter.

It got worse. No, the 303 is parked some distance from me. Of all people, I am stuck.

Looks like I77 and I81 are clear of snow up to Rt. 220 even if traffic is backed up. I guess I'll go for it tomorrow.

I hope you were able to dig out Vince! I'm taking chains for the last miles off the main roads.
