Does anybody have it tested sofar...on a Volvo that is ???

Look pretty tidy and cool to me...but thats just pics..

Really would like some info apart from their web page....



BTW if anybody needs some hard to get Volvo parts I will be happy to try locating some as I live next to Sweden and speak native Volvo

My TGB11 is fitted with the Patton system and is up and running. My mechanic (Jim LaGuardia) who did the installation would be able to provide both details and pictures. He has several pictures on his website at www.Goatwerks.com. He has also done extensive mapping that should make it easier for the next person with one of these trucks to get to the final result as the chip controlling the computer needed to be changed a few times as he was optimizing the settings. Currently the truck is awaiting a new CV boot as the rubber from the last one cracked even though it was "new old stock"....I did find a company in Sweden that makes aftermarket boots of polyurethane that should hold up longer.

And yes the new poly CV boots should go the distance,I had the poly type in my hands and they stretch pretty good IMHO compared to the old rubber ones.

Maybe when you truck is ready you could post a youtube vid of start up etc..?

My plan was to make it work together with 123.ignition.

Which ignition type do you use ?

It has the 123 dist in it.
I prefer the stock distributor with a pertronix unit for better results, although either dist will work with the system.
It starts right up, just use a shop guage to set the fuel pressure as the one on the regulator can be miss-leading.
Running 15.5 PSI fuel pressure.

When I first contacted them, they said they think they did one in Europe years ago, but we don't know who it was or how to get in touch with them. Other than that, I am not aware of any others.

BTW I did not find any specifik info on Goatwerks regarding Patton/Volvo Efi.
Maybe im just blind haha

Interesting looking system - pity they don't offer one for a NDIX36... I know it's not side draft carb so not going to be as simple but looks very affordable

Small update, after replacing leaking axle boot and getting new batteries mounted, was finally able to verify final fuel pressure adjustment was correct(regulator guage was reading more than actual fuel pressure) I set it at 15.5 psi with my shop test guage and all is good.
I will post some final install pictures soon.
I let Andre' take it around the block before he left for home as he drove it before all the work, his response was "whole different animal" .

I just drove it for about 70 miles of freeway driving and I agree that it does drive much better now. The engine sounds smoother and has more immediate pick-up than before. I am very impressed so far. It will be a while before I can test it off road, but I'll be sure to post when I do.

During my test drive, I found the performance very much like my f150 with the 300ci straight six. Felt real good in the lower R's. After reflecting on the performance, I felt the 303 was now more streetable than my 710m. (New taller tires have improved that now)

Now we need to test out the port-a-bar/tail gate on the beach after the off road test.

We most certainly do need to put the bar to good use. I can see I will need a new speedometer and headlights. The Trucklite LED lights may be the ticket. I also will be looking at some heat/noise shield for the doghouse since the noise will not be as melodic to my wife as it is to me. Other than that, it was quite enjoyable to drive.

The Trucklite LED lights may be the ticket.
I just installed a set in my 712W; while they are bright and well focused, I don't think they create as much light as the 70W H4s that I replaced. The original lights did not focus as tightly, so there was light spill all around the intense light areas. Now with the very focused LEDs there is very little light spill outside of the intended area, so they seem darker. Even the high beams seem somewhat darker, but effective.

I haven't done much night driving since I installed them and got them aimed, so I can't really say whether I like them better or not yet. They certainly are more efficient and more dependable but I have heard that the polycarbonate lense won't last as long as the glass envelope (stone hits ignored). Mostly, they're just different than what I've had.

FYI, I found a pair on Ebay for just under $200, shipping included. They came with black headlight buckets that would be used on Duce and a halfs, for example. White wire was ground, Red was low beams, Blue was high beams.
