Re: Interesting way to store front door tops
I built a rock solid and convenient rack for my rig right behind the passenger seat in the bed that only used existing bolt holes requiring no mods to the Pinz or any welding. Whenever I am back home again in the Spring, I'll post pics of mine if I remember. I think that is one of the most convenient and important upgrades you can do to the Pinz no matter how you decide to do it.

Re: Interesting way to store front door tops
I found the pics of mine on my laptop so I'll try to post them here. When I built it I mainly used the metal I cut up from the Rapier missile storage racks that were originally in the back.

Re: Interesting way to store front door tops
I studied how David built his and for ease of removal and stowage, I decided to go a different route; not to mention that his design required welding. If I'm not mistaken, his were tubes that the window tubes slid into. I also like to avoid drilling holes in my Pinz if I can absolutely avoid it, but to each his own. The custom aspect of all these individual mods is part of what makes Pinz ownership interesting.

Yes and he had to cut down the longer shafts on the door tops
Summer door tops would be cool

I think the Austrian style soft, zip-window door-tops would be cool. I found a set on Ebay.at once, but they were pricey and I was unsure what other hardware I would need, so I passed.

IMHO, I am ashamed I did not think of doing that on the side rails myself. Little to no major modifications. As the Beer commercial once stated"BRILLIANT".

Hey - that's my truck. I stole that idea from Dave Boivin, another SWPA member. So far I'm pretty happy with it.

I just hang mine on a wall in the garage from March until November.
