Pdf's are allowed/enabled but it doesn't seem to work too well. Please convert it to jpg for easier uploading.

Re: Overdrive (again)
This is so impressive and professionally presented. If it was not for the cost I'm sure many owners including myself would add this modification.
Re: Overdrive (again)
The execution of this seems top notch. Definitely a bit more to it than just the adaptor plate. Someones got some nice fabrication and design skills. Looks well thought out which shows in the quality of the diagram and instructional writeup.

Re: Overdrive (again)
This could become a great Pinz upgrade once it has more test miles on it.
Great design, machining and engineering skills!

Re: Overdrive (again)
I agree with TechMOgogy. Put some serious test mileage on
it and work out any future problems, vibrations, or whatever
might pop up. Then you could put together all parts necessary
and the documentation and sell it as a complete package. Scott
has build a business on packaging solutions for Pinzgauers and
this looks like it could be a polished, complete upgrade package.
Good job.

Re: Overdrive (again)
I had a Laycock De Normanville overdrive in my 1971 MGB. That was a lot of fun, I wish I still had that car.
I must admit that the OD unit looks great, but I can't help but wonder if the Pinzgauer engine would have enough power to drive the vehicle with such a reduction in gearing?

Re: Overdrive (again)
Thank you all for the kind words. These are the projects I love to develop on my off ours. As to the ability of the Pinz to utilize this OD unit, I had the hand throttle set and maintained 60 mph for over 15 minutes. Dead flat, no headwind. I'll continue to test and report. I'll workup some costs for the adapter in small runs. These are not money makers in the grand scheme of our business, but if I can payback in a small way for all the assistance I've received from these forums, that would be great.

Re: Overdrive (again)
On the last page it states not to engage the overdrive in reverse. I also read this in the owner's manual for my MGB back in the 70s. What would happen if overdrive was engaged in reverse? I never could get an answer to that question, and have always wondered.

Bikmakr, very nice modification, beautiful workmanship and great imagination.
From what is shown on your web site I am truly looking forward to your future Pinzgaur modifications.
Have to say, CTI for mountain bikes isn't something I saw coming. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Overdrive (again)
I saw your post on the winch mount and thought I would ask if you had any updates on the overdrive's performance / reliability?
