Finished.....710K before and after
Just finished up my 710K. After brakes, exhaust, boots, tires and fighting the ignition system for weeks: the best mod I've ever done, the Pinz SSI (never had one start so easy, run so good, and stink so little...)

Nice!
Are those LED turns an pd stops below the stock ones?
You should list all that you did to it!

I'm interested in your ignition battle. I have a 1973 710K and the ignition upgrade has proved impossible to get working, even with Dale at Haflingertechnik working on it. What did you find out during yours?

Upgrade, you mean the SSI or the Petronix?
My truck came with the Petronix, the 2 prior owners had problems with blowing coils since '09. The distributor was a mess inside. It would run fine at idle for about half an hour, any attempt to raise the RPM's caused backfiring, and sputtering. A friend, and board member ( Paul C.) had installed the SSI in his two 710's and said it was easy to do (it was), and made the truck run the best (it did). My K now runs like a 16k mile truck should...

Re: Finished.....710K before and after
Just to clarify, bonefish635 does not have a PinzSSI ignition system. I did sell one to a guy in England, and he is quite happy with it in his 712. None have been sold in Scotland yet.
He might have Pertronix. Dale is a sharp guy, if he can't fix the problem then something is REALLY wrong.

Audio, really....... I've moved MANY Pinz's, both 4 and 6 wheel drive, and never had a problem. I guess I'm just lucky

Re: Finished.....710K before and after
Sorry, i typed that with my phone. There should have been a question mark after it.
I'm wondering if they are questionable tie down points. I'm afraid front bumper locations would pull the nose down on my 712, creating the wonderful doors not closing scenario. I had to have the nose bent back up at a body shop after my last crash landing.
