License Plate (US) holder

Post by PINZDKH »

Does anyone know where I can get a license plate adapter bracket so I can put a US license plate on the rear of my Pinz (in the license plate recess)? I am trying to avoid drilling more holes in it. I have seen a photo of a Pinz on here that had a nice looking black bracket (can't remember what topic though). I'm wanting one relatively low profile so the tag lights are still effective and the spare doesn't hit it.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I've used this one a few times:

It's a Bell Universal Mounting Kit, #46127-8
You can use the existing holes in the left rear panel to mount it and then fasten the license plate to the bracket with the 4 screws provided.
It does not have a decorative frame for the plate but those are available at Autozone, NAPA, or similar stores.

The one on my truck is like Paul's, just a different style.
Can be found easily online or at local parts store (even Walmart)

I just drilled new mounting holes in the license plates to fit the truck.

I put a vanagon plate holder there. I wanted a place to put a the chuck and gauge for my air compressor and thought this would be clever. What I didn't think about was the spare tire. It does not conflict with the license plate holder when it is closed, but unless I bungee it all the way down when it is open, the spare tire can hit it and jack it up if I open the rear door. Still, pretty happy with the setup.
