So after many tribulations I finally got my door open so I could dismantle it and fix the broken lock.
Now I am stuck on how to get the lock cylinder out. The pictures below show the cylinder and the slim nut that holds it in. There is very little room. I tried to use some channel locks but can't get a purchase on it. What other tools might I try?
Thanks

My locks were not overly tight and a small pair of channel lock pliers and patience did most of the work. If I remember correctly a 27mm open ended wrench got things started.
Good luck
