16 posts! Wow you must come here a lot and really contribute so much!
Perhaps you should relax, the forum had issues last week and it is going through some changes.

Wow Bumber must have got out of bed on the wrong side - maybe a little less agro is needed.

However I do agree with his under lying point about the colour scheme and was going to ask the same sort of thing but a bit more diplomatically.

I cannot seem to find the area where colour schemes can be changed - I appreciate that would not be a high priority in getting the forum back up an running. So can I change the colour scheme or is it a case of me waiting for a while, which is OK, until the more important teething issues are sorted.

Thanks

I will have to agree that it is harder on my eyes as well. At first I thought I was just resistant to change.

And Again, this should not be considered a negative to Vince and any one else that helped sort out the recent problems.

I think people will find the new colors easy on the eyes now. Thought and testing is applied to picking colors.

The green trim = military truck colors, trees, grass, etc.

Text is now either white, for ease of reading, or tan-amber to loosely reflect sand, mud and clay colors while also being easy on the eye.

There's a 4x4 theme going on here! :DD

Hey Vince if you see an option to turn on “mobile site support” or something similar you might want to test it. Many phone browsers default to redirecting to http://m.real4x4forums.com/ even if you enter http://real4x4forums.com into the browser window. Currently that URL is not supported by the site so it just errors out..

Try it now. I erased the built-in redirect so we should be good. If not, I'm just going to get drunk and hope it fixes itself by tomr.. ://

More adjustments made! How about those colors now!?

I really like this drag and drop photo feature! You just open your file window and drag your pic in. That's it! The world has been improved.

I added a few new custom smilies, as you can see. 8) :P :(( :P

It's real easy to make huge letters! It's the grey box with "normal" in it when posting.

It's a lot easier for me to kick off spammers and approve people too.

I don't like the fact that you can't see in the board index which post have the latest responses.
Can that aspect be added back?
Now you have to go into each group to see if there are new posts.....
Or am I missing it?
I do like the black background better for sure!
Thanks for the hard work keeping us chugging along!

I see a slightly different color to the left side icon when new posts are available. And I've finally figured out what the gold star is as well - those are posts where I have contributed.

Here is how you tell - if your logged in then topics with new posts will be the dirt (brown) color vs green
Example:
3-13-2018 2-49-07 PM.jpg
3-13-2018 2-49-07 PM.jpg (49 KiB) Viewed 4894 times
Once in the sub topic board then each thread with new posts will also be the brown color

The flame inside means its a "hot" topic with lots of posts and as Jim said, the small star means you as a user have posted/replied to the topic.

If'n your wondering how to view "New Posts" -- as per the prior version of phpBB,
this can be done by selecting the option "New Posts" which is a pick in the drop
down menu "Quick links" -- just under the EI Banner.

Would it be possible to have the "new posts" button be easier to access on the main page and not only accessed under the quick menu header?

Other than that I think its great!
