Portable light

Post by Vladimir »

Hi
Reading through the manual I noticed the plug for a portable light on the left side of the dashboard, is there any specific available or that was just a generic accessory connector back in those days ?

Thanks

There was a purpose built "trouble light" that was intended to go in that socket.
Probably can find one now & again on ebay

You can get the male (Hella) plugs from either EI or SAV: https://expedition-imports.com/AUXPLGMALE
There's a several LED work-light options out there that are 9V-30V, 10X the lumens, low current and Pretty handy
at campsite or crawling under the truck in the dark on the trail.

I use that plug for my USB charge cable (you can buy plugs that fit and have USB ports)

Vladimir:
Well, I've looked high & low for that light and simply cannot find it anywhere. I know I have it somewhere as its an item I would never have tossed. All I can find is the plug. Sorry

I have one that I won't be using and would be happy to offer it for sale. I'll find it and take a picture for you.

Hmmm, that's a new lamp to me. I have two different, original Swiss lamps. One is small with an integrated clamp and the other is larger shaped like a slightly smaller headlight bulb. I'll get pics tomorrow.
