WTB: Good used soft top, 712

Post by tgreening »

What are the soft top options these days? Last I saw Tuff River was a year out, I can't wait that long, and their website doesn't even show the insulated tops anymore so who knows what's up there.

Used is fine as long as it is GOOD used. Are there colored options available? Black would be great, Desert Tan (?) next best.

Not many options out there other than OEM NOS
Andre used to have a top maker but I believe they got out of the business.
Only aftermarket that I know of in NA is TuffRiver but like you said, long wait and link gone off website, perhaps they are no longer making them?
TuffRiver quality was second to none and their tops are (were?) impressive!

Thx. I know where to get the “factory” versions but was hoping to find aftermarket options that had more...options, such as color. Tuff-River seems to be taking a break, maybe due to backlog, and I’m not seeing much elsewhere that isn’t the factory replacements. Right now the front cover is complete trash, the weather up here is less than dry, and I don’t have inside space for it yet. Its a bit aller than I expected and won’t quite squeeze in. I need something to get me by, hopefully without spending $1,000 on a factory front that probably won’t see long term use anyway.

Have Andre make you a steel front top - great for winter and outside storage.
Not sure what his wait time is however.

Just an FYI for anyone paying attention. I spoke via email with Tuff-River today and according to them they have more orders than they can fill “for the foreseeable future”, which I am assuming is why all the info has disappeared from their website.

If you haven’t already ordered, you’re probably sol.

Unfortunately, not surprised!
It took about a year for mine and back then he was swamped.
He's literally the only one making insulated aftermarket tops for the Pinz.
Until someone new steps in it looks like we are all SOL
