Pinzgauer Radio Parts

Post by unimog2450 »

Cleaning out the garage and ran across some interesting Pinzgauer radio truck parts. Bought them years ago to build a crazy project and haven't had time. Difficult to price as they don't show up often.

1. [No Longer Available] Complete 710K antenna mast tubes with mounting brackets. All tube seals/wing nuts intact.

2. [SOLD] Mostly complete interior 710K radio equipment tray assembly including both mount spanner bars.

3. [SOLD] Pinzauer hub steps (pair). No wire step mesh as seen on other trucks, but a nice clean look for front wheel assembly.

Please post if you have insight on pricing.

Located in Aurora, Colorado.

PM me for offers.

Thanks.

John

The hub steps were made by Thilo Kass in Prescott, AZ. I have a set. IIRC, they were about $175 for the pair.

Thanks for the info, Paul. I thought these were T-Lo's, but couldn't remember as it has been so long. Cheers!

Would I find a photo somewhere of how those trays go together?

Kind of a "K" thing. I have these shelfs as per below -- PIX courtesy of SAV.
Handy for stack storing things, but they can get in the way at times.

Hi John,
I'm interested in the antenna mast tubes and the hubstep if they are still available. I'm not sure what the best way to contact here as I've PM'd 8 different people without any response.
Would you ship?
I'm in northern california.
Thanks
Kelvin.

I live in monterey bay area. The pinz will eventually make it up to the Alameda area. I see you are in northern california too and have quite a project going. Maybe we can meet up sometime, and I learn a few things.
There is a 712M in Alameda that I see quite often, parked but not driven.

A bit off topic but I have a question about the shelf support in your first couple of photos. I am reassembling my shelves and I had noticed two small holes in the support and wondered their purpose. In your photo there seems to be a clamp of some type at the location of those holes. I do not see this on the parts diagram. Any idea what it is and for? Thanks and sorry to kidnap your classified.

Ha! No worries. Someone told me years ago the 'clamp' was used to hold wood handled tools like a shovel or axe. It is a leather lined metal compression clamp. Never seen any implements or any other photo documentation showing this part either. Never able to clarify its true use. Sorry I can't help more with that.
