3D Printing Pinz Parts
I am curious about what is actually needed in terms of parts that could be printed in plastic or TPU (Oil/Gas resistant rubber).
Someone mentioned the green lenses for the 4x4/DifLock panel, the horn button... anyone with ideas suggestions?

Re: 3D Printing Pinz Parts
I would love to get into that gear! Having said that, what material is the original, how many are needed, if it is just for one... Really worth the effort?
I am not looking to make any $$ out of this, lets make it clear, I would just expect help in convering cost. But since I will donate my time, I would be more inclined to take on projects that benefit the largest number of Pinzies.
Albert, do you still need the gear? Give me details.

I have bought a new wiper motor generation 2 when the gear failed, and I guess there are many more in the same situation.
There are a few spare parts available for generation 1 wiper motors but no gears.
If I can find an intact gear and measure it, what format do you need the file to be ?

Re: 3D Printing Pinz Parts
it would be great to have the gear... but if it is a regular spur gear, a photocopy in any flie format would work.
Or measurements. I have not played with the gear extension of my CAD software yet.
Do you have the broken gear?

I have bought a defective gen 1 wiper motor with working gears as part donor.
Will disassemble it and measure and take pics.

You can certainly count me in for 2, and I'm sure that I vouch for and additional 2 for another local Pinz owner.

At one time, Dennis at Linden Engineering had a run of those wiper gears made from Delrin. Might be worth checking to see if he still has any.

I just realized the donor wiper motor is at the weekend house.
Won't be there before Chrismas, but I'll remember the topic.
