Boost is just a higher amperage setting to help spin your starter.

What did you mean by "power is available"? What's telling you that?

How do you know power is available? Test each battery?
You should be able to start it while charging with no problem.

Yes but it's not good for floors or engine bays. It's more of a cavity filler, like inside walls, ceilings, etc. I used it in a syncro van to fill in the sliding door and to make panels on the side walls, small pieces behind the dash etc. In the Unimog Im going to fill in the wall behind the seats ...

I'd consider making a large removable floor cover instead of that rubber pad. The rubber is just transmitting sound waves right through it. It's not actually a good insulator for sound, especially without a decoupling material under it.

This video with Jay Leno sums up what's coming from Scout. This is the most appealing of the new stuff to me. Battery plus a motor if you want it. Solid rear axle. Locker. An actual chassis!
