Lots of conflicting opinions. I'm now REALLY unsure of what to do!

Is 2mm the right amount to skim off? I'd hate to get it wrong and either miss out on a cheap power upgrade or go too far.

Silly question. Won't I need shorter pushrods?

I'm about to convert my TGB13 to run on unleaded an take the compression up a notch at the same time. I've been advised to skim 2mm off the head wich will release an extra 15%-20% extra power. This will allow the engine to best use the LPG which it normally runs on.

Any comments?

I've done about 5,000km on LPG with mine and it's fine aart from having to do the valves regularly. I'm about to convert the head to unleaded whoch will; sort that problem.

The extra bit you had done ios basically just putting oil through the engine and causes more pollution than originally and costs more money thatn petrol!

I've been running mine without the flashlube and it's all fine. 2 experts agre that given reasonably low mileage and not hours of flat out ...

Anyone else needing these, I can get them for very little money, ie about $8 a set (backing and lens).

The storu I was told was that Volvo and Steyr-Puch went for the same NATO contract in 1972. They both came up with varaints on the same specification but very few of the Armies bought the vehicles.

Well it is all done and dusted and running perfectly. Apart from the LPG system itself I needed:

New/refurbished carburettors
New plugs, leads distributor cap & rotor arm
New inlet/exhaust manifold gasket
New coil (12V)
123ignition distributor

Now it runs beautifully with more power, smooth torque ...

Well I am climbing up the learning curve on this one.

I've found that I have serious ignition issues that will hopefully be solved by a 123ignition replacement distributor.

It's done and was running beautifully unutil I had inlet gasket problems. I can tell you that £30 for a fill up is much less painful than £70.

Well more infomration ahs come to light.

This was a 12v commercial bought 12 years ago then fitted with a 3.3 diesel engine that need 24v. It had a 2 litre engine not the 3 litre so who the hell knows what it's like.

It is unlikely to be good enough to renovate so it's another supply of spares ...

I've just bought a RHD C303. it was going for a song so I gave in to temptation.

Question: Do I sell it on or break it for spares? or do I keep it.

I've got all the bits, it's just a pig to put together whilst making it as user friendly and off road suitable as possible. I'll be finished in the next week (I hope) and will post loads of info and photos on my site
