We could use the used parts. They are hard to get now and are expensive, and this will only get worse as time goes by. We need a Pinz salvage yard here in the USA, and I wish I could be the one who makes it happen.

Then think, 5k euros is $6.7k US plus shipping and other costs, and probably would be a rusted out beater at best to $28K+

With those prices, only the rougher Pinzes in private hands have gone down in valve. The premium ones won't change at all.

I believe the best course of action is to not take action. Let those who have imported before, go, inspect, and judge for themselves, the quality of the inventory and profitability with cost of purchase and importation.

If they are only worth parts, only pay salvage costs.
If they are quality trucks, pay what is needed to make money.

David, how do you get from 6.7k (purchase price) to 28k total after shipping, import duties and taxes? I don't know the specifics, but container shipping is not that expensive and taxes will be a percentage of the purchase price...
