Thanks Tom!
That helps a lot. I have no left low beam light and the number nine keeps popping. Off to play with the test light again!
Thanks again.

q: what are the ratings for all these circuit breakers? i'm still at work and can't go look and i need to replace at least 1 of them so i'm thinking about replacing the whole panel with something nice. i'm shopping online for marine breakers at the moment.

I replaced all of mine with the marine breakers. I have had no problems to this point. I used a kind that required spade connectors instead of the eyelets. I have heard that there is a marine breaker out there that has the eyelet style. The stock breakers were mostly rated 8 amps. Here in AZ in the summer half of my breakers would pop just from sitting in the sun. The marine breakers are not a direct fit. Jay, I believe was the first to do this in his truck and I am sure others have also. I had difficulty finding direct replacement breakers so I opted to change them all out. I have also heard that CWR has had some direct replacement breakers made or found a source. You would have to contact them to find out for sure. Most of the breakers I could find in the Pinz community were for the Mog and did not fit the original space. With the marine ones you have to remove everything behind the instrument panel and install them. They do look different but seem to work just fine.
If you would like the source I used for the marine breakers PM me and I will send you the info. As always if there is a Pinz dealer that is now carrying the "original" fit breakers please let me know. I have taken great care when adding or modifying my truck to make sure that it can be put back to original without the purchase of new items (well except the rims)

The marine circuit breakers that I installed continue to work flawlessly.
Details on the installation can be found here:

aha - you're the one who posted the cb swap i saw. i searched for that part number and found nothing, but went to the seachoice site and found something that looks identical called 0014, i think. besides that, i also found a site that has very nice stuff:
http://www.bluesea.com/product.asp?Prod ... 2=&l1=7407
i like mike's i idea of keeping things unaltered but i may not be able to if i find something irresistably awesome. tomorrow i create tail lights and shop for cb's.

Patrick at
http://www.coldwarremarketing.com has the correct breakers (8 amp)brand new , and also offers them in 15 amps.
While the aftermarket marine type breakers will work, you will have to modify(HACK) the harness to accept them
There's nothing nicer than a "direct fit" replacement breaker, all you need is a screwdriver
