4WD keeps disengaging

Post by Twebba »

I know I've seen this topic before (maybe before we lost those 10,000+ posts) but cannot find it by searching...

I'm experiencing the issue where 4WD keeps disengaging itself.
If I remember correctly, it was a fairly simple fix like checking a cable or changing fluids.

Can someone please jog my memory and remind me where I should start my investigation?
(BTW - I'm still pretty new to a lot of the Pinz mechanics, so forgive me for being such a noob )

Thanks!

That would be a hydraulic leak :( Check the locker slave seal. They get hard with age and temp, see my previous posts in this section, pic's are posted
Slave is easy to repair

Thanks Jim,

Would you by any chance have a direct link?

Searches for "Hydraulic Leak", "Locker Slave", etc. are coming up blank.
I can't find that post. :?

- Much appreciated!

Again... Thanks!
- Looks like I've got some investigative work ahead of me.
(I sure hope mine don't come out looking like that)
