Heater question
The heater ,I wanted to wrap the ducting in heat resistant insulating tape to improve the stock heater. Is this a good idea? The aux heater is a next year project. I get decent heat out of the defroster after several miles. I just need to get the heat to the feet better. I know about the air valve to direct heat to feet. Also, The heat blue lever- up or down? Thanks. Brian

I did the wrap with a fiberglas and foil tape similar to what goes over water pipes to keep them from freezing. Improves the transfer of heat about 50% and on a 32 deg day it sometimes gets warm enough to open the window a bit. I did lower the curtain behind the cab so I am only heating the cab and not the entire back of the 710M.
I had to replace the heater tubing as it started to come apart as I was taking it off to wrap it. I picked up some new tubing from McMaster on my way through LA to Washington. 3'' is too big so you may want to get the next size down if you are going to replace it. They did not have metric in stock when I got the tubing.
