Insurance Question

Post by matthewc66 »

I recently bought a 710 and my insurance company (Wawanesa) wont insure it.

I thought I would throw the question out to the group to see if there are any insurance companies you would recommend and how much money are you paying to insure your vehicle.

I have a commercial/farm policy from State Farm that is very reasonable (I think anyway) at about $125.00 for six months.

I have my 710m insured as a classic/show vehicle which supposedly allows you to drive only 2500 Miles per year. I run around town quite a bit and trailer it to the trail. But its only about 100 bucks per year. A farm policy like pcollette suggested might be a better way to go if they don't have the mileage restriction.
Good luck

Here in PA I have my 712 registered as a truck and is insured through State Farm, liability only.

Good Luck

Had the 710 insured through Farmers in CA. Moved to WA and transferred the policy here. Complete coverage just like the car but for what it will cost to replace it. May have to upgrade that soon, they are not getting any cheaper.

Mine is insured with Progressive and there were no limits on when and how much useage. Don't recall the cost but it was pretty cheap as I recall.

Depends on the use how you insure it. If you are using it for a business, it needs to be registered commercial which will increase the cost of insurance. If it is for private use, then register it as UTILITY(SUV) and try progressive, my card shows Pinzgauer 710M.
