Simple Circut breaker question
I am new to the pinzgauer ad had a breaker go. I simply reset it and went along. I have one question. Since the breaker went should I check the system it was on? Or is a simple reset the correct way of handling it. Seeing that it was a military vehicle?
I'm by no means an expert, but depending on the breaker it could be a sign of a problem elsewhere. My number 12 popped several times a few months ago and I'd reset it. Well turns out my brake light switch was bad and I think I toasted the lights for the emergency brake and the blinkers because of it. If it doesn't keep popping under a given set of circumstances then don't worry, but if it keeps popping, I'd be for checking the associated circuits. Just my very much layman's opinion.

Being that the circuit breakers are 30+ years old (and of the "thermal" type) it is not uncommon for them to self trip, especially if the sun has been beating down into the windshield. I've had a few that keep tripping repeatedly; seems that the constant tripping and reseting seems to have helped "clean up" the latch, and now it doesn't trip anymore. I have no reason to suspect any real wiring problem.
