NICE pic's.
The orange Pinzgauer buggy is very interesting....What was the idea behind it?
I think I have seen other pictures of it over the years....how long ago did you build it?
Good to have you on the Forum.

Hello Peter, wel how to make one of the best 4x4 ever made even beter...as you know the pinzgauer(volvo,hummer....)were al build for a reason...the pinz and volvo as a troopcarier but as a real off-roader there are some questions to ask??First a pinz has most of it's weight up front(the front-steer) driver,co driver engine and sometimes a winch or other equipment... and yes driving one of a steep hill can be tricky sometimes as they lift the rear tires quit easy(see picture above) so with that in mind..what if you could change that...bring all it's weight to the middle,i ve took this car(nickname Razorback) up to 55° sideways and it still didn' go over. The other reason was competition...a stock pinz is great off-road but for racing...even then it's to big and has to mutch overhang front and rear, razorback hasn't so taking hills up or down isn't a problem,in fact where most guys have to use their backwinch for lowering them down a hill.... i just drove down(must have seen the look on their faces??).The car was used in the croatia trophy 2003(where vince sweeny crached his 712 the year before?) but needs some more inprovement...the biggest problem...suspension??? for this kind of off-road the original springs and schocks are no good (lost 3 of 4 shocks after 2 days),so now we are going for coil-overs on the new razorback....yes we are going to change the car completly..it's going to be more of a tube bugy making it as light as possible..The car has a total weight of 1800kg and some 200/300 has to come off. What engine/drivetrain conserns...it was all stock 2.5l aircooled pinz, stock carbs, stock ignition...and it all did the job with no problems....but now we will go back to our feul injection that i've build on a 710 of mine,a experiment that worked but needs some more atention(we had the injectors on top of the intakes, where the carbs build on,it will be better if they are directly above the inlet-valve) I think a k-jet is the way to go becouse it has almoust has no electronicks an you can find them everywhere. Now i dont want people to go and cut their pinzies up if you can keep them original than please keep them like that....razorback is a testing car for me what brings me to the next level...2.5l turbocharged.
Sorry for my english it's been awile....
