Oil in Air Filter

I removed the air filter housing to replace the filter the other day, and found some oil in the expandable rubber air filter boot (between the carb air intake and the air filter housing). Is it normal to have some oil in there? If not, what could be the culprit?

yup, normal. Its the crankcase recirculation
