my pinz died while driving............help.!

i was driving normally on the street, suddenly it dies , i towed home, check for gas, spark, everything looks normal,, it cranks,spark on every spark plug, gas on the carbs, dist. is not loose,what else should i look for??? this is the first time my truck dies. i believe if there is spark and gas should fire up!! it should be a electrical problem??? can i mesure coil power?? thanks... :?: :?: :?:

Perhaps your timing went bad. That could happen if the bolt clamping the distributor is loose.

Check the wire from the noise suppressor to dist, from both ends. Mine had vibrated and was only hanging
on by one strand of the wire. Not enough to get power to dist. Just another place to look. Not on the radar
for normal searches.

Just a shot in the dark. Check power to carburetor fuel solenoids, should click.

i believe if there is spark and gas should fire up!!
you also need air... but I'd start by looking for something loose (intermittent) starting with the Molex connector near the distributor. As indicated above, the carb fuel solenoids are also a good possibility as is the ignition switch.

thanks guys.... it seems like the cable from the coil to distributor cap is shot!, cause i replace it with an old one and its running now!! that is weird!!
