Pinz History

Post by jrcotner »

I took the rear seats out of my 1971 Pinz 710M to replace the squishy or missing foam, and located what appeared to be inspection tags in all four seat bottoms. Two were blank, and the other two contained some information in German. One tag was dated 27 Sep 1971, and the other was dated 18 Mai 1970. The second tag raises some questions about the age of my truck. I thought 1971 was the first production year for the Pinz, but am interested to learn if there were some pre-production models that were used for R&D. My frame and engine numbers all match, and the engine is one of the old models. Any information on early Pinz history is appreciated.
Thanks,

Perhaps the seats were assembled earlier in preparation.
