Bull Pull Store - what a jerk!

Well, I'm disappointed! Watch out for this seller on Ebay. Bull-Pull-Store. I'd post a link to his storefront, or his webpage, w w w dot BullPullStore dot com, but I'll be dam*ed if I'll help him out. He also has ads on Kijiji, Canada's version of Craigslist.

He had some used Michelin tires I was interested in. I used Ebay to contact him. We chatted back and forth a while, and were within $100 or so of a deal. Then it finally hits him that I'm the guy who emailed him a couple times in the last year asking about tires. Each time I give him some info about my condition, and why we're building our truck.

Then he comes out with THIS gem:

I've always had such good luck talking with anybody from Canada, and the Toronto area folks are always particularly friendly.

This guy's very atypical.

There are turds all over. It's too bad you had to step in one.

It sounds as if you are dealing with it/him appropriately, and I hope you are then able to ignore it all. You've surely got other more pressing concerns than his sorry ass. Good luck on sourcing your parts elsewhere.

ps, My brother's M.I.L. was diagnosed with brain cancer about 40 years ago, and given less than 1/2 year. She lived more than 30 years beyond that diagnosis. I know that's the exception, but "miracles" do sometimes happen. I wish you well.

Ignore him - it is quite clear by his email (both his comments and his spellin') he is just plain ignorant.

I'll be the jerk, but why do you find it necessary to share health issues in this type of transaction in the first place? You're buying tires, not health insurance.

Am i correct in my assumption that you're using your health as a pricing factor? Asking for a $100 discount because your a dyeing man? You can't take it with ya bud, might as well spend it.

I'm not sure that I follow your assumption, from what's been posted so far. Sixbennetts has been open about his medical issue/s all along on this forum, so I would guess that he'd have been equally open with Bull-Pull-Store too (as he mentioned). Different people deal with chronic health issues in their own ways, and he talks about his.

Everybody's entitled to dicker over prices, even guys who are sick. So what if they failed to reach an agreeable price?

The email from B-P-S doesn't accuse him of using his health as a pricing factor. Sounded to me as if he thinks Sixbennetts' stories were made up. (Maybe they were, we are talking about the internet here.) But regardless, I'd think B-P-S simply stating that he doesn't want to sell the tires at that price would suffice. Essentially calling Sixbennets a liar is unnecessary. His grammar can go without comment.

Assuming Sixbennetts' problems are real (which I do) he doesn't need someone throwing that crap at him. He has better places to put his mental energies. Maybe that's just what he gets for putting his problems out on the internet in the first place, but if so, that's pretty cold.

As to his cash, it doesn't sound like Sixbennetts is exactly a penny-pincher. Look at his truck! But since as you put it; he can't take it with him, I'd bet he'd prefer to leave his wife & kids with as much as possible, instead of some ebay dude who badmouths him.

Totally agree - I'm not trying to be a jerk - and im sure ill come off as insensitive - I'm just not sure why health conditions are part of the buyer/seller interaction. Inclusion seemed to cause more problems than needed.

Early on he wanted to know what we wanted to use it for. That's how the whole health thing came out. And I'm bargaining over every dollar because we don't have it. We're on disability, but it's not gonna stop us from achieving our dream.

I was just taken aback by his callousness, when a simple, "no thanks", would have been enough.
