the fittings on this tool are fixed, that is when you are putting the cap on the reservoir you have to keep rotating the pump because the tubing is fixed, doesn't spin as you screw on the cap. How does one avoid spilling brake fluid all over the place when hooking the unit up?
I hope i am just stupid and missing something obvious

You're not stupid, that is the way it works. I got a rotating union for mine.

Thanks to both of you for answering.
Where did you buy the union ? Can you suggest an online source?
Pretty much limited to NAPA here on the south end.
thanks again

If you screw the cap on slow and twist the reservoir when the hose twists, it goes on fine.

Re: Motive Brake bleeding tool
If you are purchasing new just buy the BLACK LABEL EURO BLEEDER. It comes standard with the Aluminum cap with built in swivel. Well worth the extra money.
A very simple condition check on the brake hoses with the bleeder. Attach it and pump up to 8-10 Lbs. Open a bleeder. If you get a steady strong spurt, more than likely your brake hoses are in good shape and aren't swelling shut on the inside. Crack the bleeder and only get a drizzle and you know you have more investigating to do.
Cheers,
Scott
