Pinztronix now available online

Post by pinzinator »

The newest and finest aftermarket Pinzgauer ignition system is now available for purchase online! Check it out at www.pinztronix.com .
This is a complete system that includes everything you need, and no drilling or modifications to the vehicle wiring required.
Similar to a waste spark system, this ignition fires more than once during the power stroke. Plugs are gapped at .060.

Well Rick, back at it again !! That's great news and this looks like a
real slick integration of key components and a no fuss installation.

What'cha gonna do with your REMOVED PinzSSI ? I'm still running
mine and with a MERV 16 cover over the module to keep the damn
dust out ://

cheers

I removed the PinzSSI to see how this ignition would work, and pulled my Pinz off the market the same day, the difference was that significant. My old PinzSSI 4.2 works perfectly and includes a filter, and has maybe 100KM on it at most.
Adapting a Pertronix distributor to the Pinzgauer was the main hurdle, but I finally got that covered. I also use Pertronix wires so all componants match electrically. A good DC filter might be recommended on the power input side.
Contact me via messenger if interested, I will give you a deal.

I think? this is good news in that there now seems to be a potential alternative to my PinzSSI if it ever fails me. And it is pretty remarkable that it could be better than a PinzSSI in performance. In my opinion that would be hard to beat. It looks like Ron beat me to the question about the used unit. Thanks to Pinzinator for all he has done to help the ignition issues of our vehicles and I am hopeful this makes up for the loss of PinzSSI.

Ya, Keith, I agree. Hard to beat the precision and features of a PinzSSI.
Optical trigger is far more precise than Hall effect, and there are up to 4
selectable timing profiles each customizable -- if you have the Software
and cable to do so. That said, the optical trigger is also a negative with
the potential of dust ingress to foul up the sensor -- been there done that :(
That's why I shroud the cap with MERV 16 fabric.

The other disadvantage is it's essentially a EOL product :(( but a few
of us are persistent and keep "triggering" on with this PinzSSI.
