You could try cracking the bleed valves on the slaves for the Front wheel drive and front wheel lockers. There may be some extra built up pressure. causing partial but not complete engagement. to do this put a length of clear hose to the bleeder valve and support it up so no air can get back into the system. crack the valve and if fluid is forced out at any force let it bleed till it slows down. Tighten the valve back up, and test drive. If no fluid comes out then you will have to bleed that slave and possibly the whole system. Just a thought and easy to check.

Hi erik it sounds like the noise in have in my 710 in hi gear at low speeds it sounds like pistons swapping holes, some call it a grumble it comes from all the back lashes in all the gears with a lite gas peddle but with power the noise goes away or if a lower gear the noise is gone also. If this is what you are hearing its normal and i live with it.
Hope this helps some what and with the ceenter drive line out there is no power the the front diff either.

Erik....You may want to check the dry bushing in the witches hat coming off the front of the Hi-Low gear box. Mine was completly gone and others have seen substantial wear. The witches hat that is at the rear of the front diff. has the same parts with the dry bushing in place, that is not used so you could swap the front witches hat with the rear to test it. Or for a quick in the field repair if you dont have a spare dry bushing on hand.
Evan Hillman has some pictures of it on his web site, Pics 7 & 8 down. Check out the rest of his site as well, well worth the look.
