I have some pics on my computer. His contact number is: 505-756-4153
He pretty much sucks at answering the phone but he is a great guy once you actually get a hold of him. Keep calling.

Going well, still in dispatch. Go back to Dr. in a couple weeks and may get cut loose then. Yeah that's the new homestead. The location is horrible, but the price is right being a city owned rental. Actually has a really nice back yard so the pup is happy. Big difference from our last place, but we'll get used to it.

City is letting us paint and fix up the place on their tab, so we'll make it nice.

Do you know Bill Doyle that owns Rennwagen in town? He is an expert on older Porches. I wonder what he would charge me to adjust my carbs up after I get them rebuilt?

Jackson Pinz,

Did you ever get your stuff from Patrick? I'm waiting nearly a month now for hub steps.

I too am still waiting for my order from CWR. I have had an order (paid for) for a month. I did receive an e-mail letting me know 1 part was out of stock and did I want my order short shipped. I did say to cancel the BO part and credit my card for it and go ahead and ship the other part. 2 weeks later still no part, no credit, no explanation either.

Just my $.02. I've ordered from both EI and SAV, and both of them have been OUTSTANDING in taking the order, answering questions, and delivering unbelievably quickly.

I've never ordered anything from Cold War, mostly because I've heard this same thread in a couple of places, and when I order something, I want it now. Just heresay regarding CWR, as I've never used them. I hope that it all works out, as the more vendors we have available to us as a community, the better. I'd hate to see any of these guys lose business, as it's guaranteed that we'll need them sooner or later.

I had heard about the problems at CWR, but figured Hub steps weren't brought in from overseas and would be a relatively safe bet.

I routinely get stuff from SAV and I am very pleased with every encounter. I'm thinking about EI as a source but the extra distance and therefore shipping is a thought running through my head

Chuck, you might also want to check out Thilo over at T Lo's in Prescott, I got my hub steps from him and they are great, have a much more finnished look to them and don't require any sort of shimming on the back side to keep them quiet, Think I paid about $120.00 + shipping like 1 1/2 years ago, still holding up even though the have hit a few big rocks, Thilo also has other parts as well, shipping for me has always been promt and he is a wealth of knowledge to boot.

When a thread similare to this one came up a few months past Dennis at Linden was instrumental in helping solve some problems with Patrick. Maybe when he comes back from Idaho he might be able to help again.

It would be nice if Patrick got his act together again though.

Hello You Blokes
Yes I am back from Idaho (Sandpoint) visiting "In Laws" on a forested mountain top.

I am beginning to conclude that CWR should now be called "Hermit Motors". I helped out two folks since I got back one guy was in Guatemala.
Even for me getting some info has been difficult unless I drive the 50 odd miles down there.
Anyway I am always happy to help but I suppose you all know what is the remedy! (Sad).
Hello to all
Dennis
ps Highlight of the trip? Renting a boat on lake Pend Oreille, with all the inlaws on board. Got called Captain Ahab!

Dennis, nice to see you back on the forum. I'm sure everyone knows the remedy too, but I think most people here have been hesitant to take that step just out of niceness. It is sad, I thought Patrick was likeable when I met him last year, but I guess it has been disappointing for many in the community.

Anyway, glad your back online.
Regards, Andy

Just today I received the rear portion of the new top I ordered from CWR almost a year ago to the day. I have to give a lot of credit to Ray at Tuff River Stuff for rectifying the situation with my order and fitting in the construction of the top during his busy season.
