There are actually a lot of interesting vehicles on that site. In comparing a same year 74 710m to mine, there are some subtle differences between the austrian and the swiss ones. The plastic front windows, split windshield, wipers, etc. It says it was completely rebuilt at the factory to new Austrian standards, so maybe they replace some items.

Wow, I'ld love to see that place in person! Would be cool to see one of those factory refurbs. So $13,110 for a 712 with only 12,500 Km on it?! Rebuilt by the factory! Wow. What's it cost to ship one over here?

Baujahr ist 1978, Kilometerstand zwischen 04500 und max. 12500 kilometer seit der Generalüberholung bei Steyr - Graz 1998
Meaning they had a general overhaul in 1998 by Steyr in Graz and have been driven between 04,500 and max 12,500 KM since then.
These Pinzgauer are not refurbs. The numbers are read from the speedometer which as all of you know only goes up to 99,999 and then rolls over. The Pinzgauer from the Austrian army are the ones that are the most used and driven compared to the ones coming from Switzerland.
A 40 foot container from Basel in Switzerland to Toronto in Canada is roughly 5,000 Euro. You can put 2 x 712 in a 40 foot container.

You're so right about the cost to overhaul a Pinz. Many of the oldtimers here will remember this factory overhauled 710K from a few years back. It has been passed through a few owners since then.
The bumper has been added to it, and I think the rims are different from back then. Many other things have been changed also...

Yeah sorry, that was his email adres.... Do'h...
He does export these all over the world, it might be worthwhile to just ask what it would cost for transportation... I bought mine with him and got a fantastic Pinz.
Remember these machines were overhauled in the original Graz factory less than 10 years ago. I bought one of the Pinzes with a new engine (new overhauled) and I am still running it in (3000 km in total)

I am trying to find again a german article on the net, that explained the story of some journalists that went to the Graz factory just as the last 3 NEW Pinzes rolled of the line (one Pinz per day in the end) AND they mentioned that there was also a lot of Austrian Army vehicles being overhauled in the factory, explaining that worn parts were replaced etc. So not all brand new, but as good as... They were generally overhauled, meaning that what was in good order was left, but all else replaced with new or overhauled as new. I am not sure what refurbished means, but expect it to be completely overhauled, ground down and repainted and all taken apart, if that is the case these machines were NOT refurbished but only overhauled... Give me time and I'll find the article...
Indeed the KM's on the clock were since the overhaul. In my eyes it still means you get a got factory overhauled Pinz with less than 10 years and if they have low milage, you can expect a long trouble free time / KM's with it.
Last time I still saw a Pinz like mine with a new overhauled engine, with as new, carbs, start-motor, distributor, spark-plugs etc. with 75000 KM and repainted. Mine has 42000 km, and I tell you; people think it is almost new. I do think some of these machines are worthwhile at least checking into...
