Got to say that out of all the thousands of Pinzgauer images I have, this is one of my favourite pics of Pinzgauers in military service.

I bet it gets just a wee bit noisey when that .50 is going off right above your head.
3 boxes of 7.62 (that's what they look like anyway) probably don't last real long for the guy in the front seat either.
The combat rims look good. They are definitle are very soft skinned vehicle.
Awesome picture Peter.

Andy, I see five cans total two on the front two behind the door and one on the gun. Peter great pic. Is that a box of busch beer on the second piz? Hard to make out in the pic what the blue and white box is. Also what are the tubes on the front and rear of the vehicle pointing in every direction? Ka I can't beleave you got away with posting the pinz2 behind peters post.

Tubes like those used to be used to launch smoke. I couldn't tell if the two boxes behind the door were actually two boxes or one of some other kind of ammo.

Don't be fooled by what you see in ammo cans on military vehicles. When I was in the service, M113a1's have storage space for ammo cans under the troop seats in the rear, (50 cal and 7.62) but we lined the total floor of the troop area with ammo cans and that's what we stood and walked on. We could not get A-Cav Kits for our APC's so we stole gun mounts from M114's. When your going to be shot at, sargents look the other way.
As a note, the passager weapon is the Mag 58 or as called in the US, M240. Made by FN and the same designer that designed the FAL Rifle. Sweet weapon, tested it once with 900 rounds and not one stopage or run-a-way. Mind you, this was one minute of test. The run-a-way is when the barrel is so hot that the rounds cook off and the weapon fires all by it's self. The only way to stop this is brake the belt of ammo and let the gun run out of ammo. This replaced the M60 GPM in US service, thank goodness.
The M2 on top is the best weapon I think John Browning designed and one of the best in the world.
Looking at some of these posts sometimes bring back memories of stuff that makes you go "Wow" I still remember this and if I put any of this on my vehicle, I'll probly get stoped.
Well, I've been wrong before as my wife and kids like to remind me.
