fuel injection is the most reliable and biggest bang for the buck.
It can give you problems as well. As you need a secondary voltage source and that can be frustrating at times. Supply the fuel pump with to much voltage or not enough and the fuel pump will be short lived! And you're stuck in the middle of the Moab desert with a long walk to the nearest napa or town for that matter. :shock: funny how failures always happen when you're the furthest from town.

I only asked as it looks like he has made some changes and I was curious.

@AZ712DK:
Well up to now didn't run out of money or out of time.
I didn't even give up on my Pinzgauer. I will never do so.

I understand your concerns, but my main reason to build
something like this is fun. I love to build something that suits
my needs. If it works I'm happy. If it doesn't, well have to find
out why it doesn't work and fix the flaws.
Maybe it's an endless process but it's the development process
itself that I like.

Btw the cooling system has enough overfunction to cool the
engine down in any circumstances.

@Erik712m:

Yes I added a new radiator and discarded the old one.
It is protected from Mud by some sheetmetal right now so
you can't see it anymore from the outside.

I used to watch Tom Slick and his Thunderbolt Greaseslapper as a kid. He could convert that car into anything! Now I see guys trying to do that with the Pinzgauer with mixed results. I think the engineers who designed the Pinzgauer knew what they were doing, I prefer the simplicity of stock, but still envy the skills of those who can modify, such as installing the Ford Supercharger. I once heard that a wise man is one who admits what he doesn't know, so with that in mind I spent $75 to have my carbs syncronized by a pro in 2004. The Pinz still runs as good today as it did then, and that's how I like it. If I want a V-8 powered off-road truck I'll go buy one- not make one.
