16,000 btu, yes. Lots of other things were plugged in as well

What kind of AC are you running? and how are you powering it?
110 vac AC with inverter (what size inverter) or 24 volt dc AC unit?

Erik,
Is that you on the right with the binkie?
Has the idea of using a small window-mount AC with a small genset been hashed out? You could mount the AC on the back, over the door. Lower center of gravity and more easily remove it in the off-season.

Hadn't thought of that. not a lot of room in the back with the door opening taking up a lot of room.

I installed a Toyotomi portable AC in my Pinz when I first got it. It only drew 400 watts for 4000 BTU. It worked surprisingly well for camping and had its own adjustable timer for automatic shut off. I ran it on a 2000 watt 24 volt inverter. The inverter has a low voltage shutoff to insure I didn't get the batteries too low.
The problem I had was where I mounted it. It exhausted air out the side behind the driver's door. Unfortunately when driving down the highway at any speed over 30 the flat front of the Pinz causes a high pressure zone at exactly the point where the AC exhaust was. This made it useless except for slower off-road driving.
When I discovered deeper water challenges I took all that out. I still have it around for camping but uninstalled it from the Pinz. Because of this I never put in the second bank of batteries to be dedicated to the vehicle accessories, keeping the starting batteries isolated.

Starting to really like the show been watching it online pretty funny stuff.
I'm also getting pretty proficient with duct tape.
Wife yells theres dust coming in I pull over pull out the tape threaten to use it as a muzzle and proceed to tape up areas.
If you look at the pics you can see tape n a few of the dust entry areas once I find them all i'll caulk it before it gets painted.

FWIW. I ended up using styrofoam on the roof. One inch thick.
