Ok tried shifting into gear at the tranny input shaft and am missing 1-4 gear. It clicks nice seams to go into gear but all I can shift into is 5th. So I might repost this as transmission problem. Its funny the last time I had a tranny go out it made all sorts of noise leading up to the failure.

Bernard, look at the trans linkage at the shift tower. The small dogbone may have popped off.

Hi jim thanks for the reply... I was about to call you!! I already checked the linkage and the dogbone is on firm. Im thinking its in the tranny as 5th gear is 1:1 and bypasses the layshaft. Could something have broken off in the shift linkage causing it to only shift into 5th?

I have found the roll pin in the shift tower can ride up and limit movement.
Pull the floor plate and try to shift into gears at trans,
5 bolts or nuts hold the shift tower on.
Could also be a broken fork or fork pivot pin or stripped teeth on input gear. Pull the tower and look inside, it should be obvious.
Feel free to call if you need to.

Got it all figured out!!! Looks like I spun a gear off the main shaft. Dropped it of at Goatwerks.com this afternoon....Thanks Jim!! Do I get 5% off for this “plug”?
