The aluminum wheels looks great but at $350 a pop, it's not quite the impulse buy i was looking for. Stockton wheel seems like they'd have something that would fit.

As I mentioned on the other post about the Treadwell retreads, Jim Sparkman was running them this weekend at our little Texas get together and they were considerably bigger than my stock tires which is my ultimate goal...more tire.

Yeah. I remembered it pictured here long ago. No idea about the specifics. Interesting Pinz though. It'd be handy in my swamp, I'm thinking.

check out any of the icelandic vehicles and you will find they make their own rims. Almost any vehicle can be found with the exceptionally wide rims on them to aid with the snow crossings. Very cool looking trucks though.

Been to Iceland a couple of times and was really surprised how basic some of the Icelandic supertrucks are - spotted things like XJs running 38" tyres basically by spacing out the suspension and cutting back the arches.. and apparently still running the stock Dana axles! Basically they don't seem too worried about articulation or indeed the longevity of the builds - they seem to bang things together to run massive tyres and plan on rebuilding the entire truck every couple of years (the corregations on some of their main roads have to been seen to be believed - they shake most trucks to bits).

The Pinz pictured is an ex-Iceland vehicle Greg at Shropshire Gunbus had in a while ago - looked like it needed a fair bit of TLC. Think the tyres were 35/12.5/15s or similar - not too massive.

I was offered some 255/100/16s yesterday. 36" diameter but narrow. Would have been tempting if the price hadn't been ridiculous...

Too big on a petrol Pinz from what I've seen to date - hell, I wouldn't put them on my 90!

You running a 710 or a 712 Stuart? Have a look at Camskill's site for tyres - seem about the cheapest at the moment for a lot of stuff - just bought a set of tyres for the missus' lifted XJ from them - even allowing for shipping they undercut the local guys...

If/when I replace the stock tyres, I'm thinking 265/75/16s on my 712 - mostly cos they are a stock Landy size, so relatively cheap and easy to get - which makes sense when buying 7 at a go! Having said that, my M********S (apparently a swear word on here) are lasting pretty well, and no issues so far. Our friends across the pond seem more worried about them, but from personal experience they are certainly no worse than Simex or Insa Turbo pattern tyres.

I suppose a guy could do like they do in Ireland's peat bogs, and just bolt on extra tires. My favorite was an old Ford (maybe Fordson?) like a Jubilee, with triple rears and dual fronts.

Hello to all! First post and found the answer to the GT/Cepeks aftermarket rims. Those very cool alloy's I have seen on Pinzgauers in pics and "YouTube" and even in the movie "Thor". I have been a fan of these vehicles for many years now. Wife thinks I am nuts. Versitility is amazing and intial pricing much better then the Unimogs of the same type. Though the 4X4 is cool I am partial to the 6X6 hardtop with the extra side door.

Welcome to the forum. The real quick answer is that a 712K is going to be VERY hard to find unless of course you plan to make one which had been done by several folks here on the forum. To do up a 710K as Scott did for the Thor movie, you can reach out to him and he can fill you in on what that takes (AKA how much can you afford?)

gives an idea on what to expect for a 712K. The modified 710K pictured I don't recall any numbers so contacting Expedition imports would be the easiest way to find out if they would release the cost of the build. If I recall they did not do all the work on it so it would require additional work to make the truck pictured. I am sure any quality fab shop could do something similar just don't know what price range you would be looking at.
