Ya, I figured this was the case, without the alignment tool I was "apprehensive" to tear it appart, but will proceed this afternoon. Gotta get rolling again.... :roll:

I've got the exact dimensions for the alignment tool if you want to make your own. They're on my other computer

Thanks, but a guy I work with has one as specified by Jim L. The job should be under way Thursday night.

Well, after dissassembly, consideration, pricing and alot of staring at the parts, I decided to re assemble the clutch. Works like new. Dunno, must have been debris, or fused, or who knows. Anyways, it was the cheapest repair yet, with the exception of my stiff neck.

I have to say, that's a remarkably easy tranny to work on, and as much as I don't look forward to my next major dis assembly project, I certainly don't dread it.
