Should show empty with about 5 gallons remaining, the sending unit does not extend to the bottom of the tank, so when you get to “E” you have about 5 gallons reserve.
I have run out of gas with the needle on 'R'. Sometimes I think the vehicle is fickle in its messages.
Always like to keep the spare 20L tank full and ready to use.
