WOW ain’t that a kick in the teeth!

MrGlenn goes around through the backdoor and steals the deal right out from under me.

Right after JRR posted that he had a top for sale, I PM’d him expressing interest and requested that he send pics to my personal email.

JRR emails back that it’s raining where he’s at and can’t take pics right now. Okay fine

Pics are finally posted, and within two hours I send a PM stating that I’d like to close the deal and ask for estimated shipping costs.

I get a PM back from JRR saying that another board member “has already spoken for it

Maybe I’m naïve, but I thought internet protocol (and just plain common courtesy) was that the OP had right of first refusal (especially since we had been communicating offline) and that any other interested parties should post up with something like “put me in line if the deal falls through”.

Sorry guys, I feel like I’ve been sucker punched and just had to vent

Mike

The timeline of messages in my PM is different. MrGlenn was the first one to contact me.

I am sorry you were offended by the process or feel I (or the buyer) somehow cheated you. That was certainly not my intent.

JRR, if this had been a situation where YOU had posted a "For Sale" ad for the top, that would be a different story and I could see your point.

However, I was the one who posted a "WTB:..." and YOU responded to it with an offer.

I responded to that by my own post and PM, stating that I was interested in the top, and you acknowledged that PM

Then you let it go to a third party behind the scenes. Not cool dude!
