Every time I see a close-up pic of Profs' Pinz I see perfection.

I have some more information and pictures of Pinzgauer II from BAE Land Systems. The pictures I think are computer generated as there is maybe only prototypes built, but from a oblique side view it doesn't look at all as bad as I initially thought.

I am trying to get the images hosted on my site but having problems, I do not want to put them on Flikr as they are really copyright of BAE but I did let them know this was for the wider audience of the Pinzgauer Forum online. If anyone can host these images three 6M files then please pm me.

It looks great to me. I would even let them Swap one of those 6x6 with my TGB 13 and I would not charge them any ballance

I like the New Pingauer a lot they even have HID lights and front valence under-tray reinforcement under the driver and front passengers feet. Bigger inside just like the TARDIS, bigger tyres and big range due to optionally having 2 fuel tanks.

I want one, give me.

Phillip, thanks so much for the links. Now iin 30 years we'll be able to import them to the US.

Can't understand why they don't make something like that here. I mean people are paying over $40K for new diesel pickup trucks with 4 wheel drive and this is much more functional.

Just my $ .02 worth of opinion.

Interesting things I noticed:

Manitis version, having longer wheelbase (but narrower track) has a shorter turning radius - this doesn't sound right (and I'd hate to have to look over that hood! Can you envision not being able to see the first fifty feet in front? There will be alot of "OOPS" coming from this!).

The track is different between the two versions. Do they have different axles, or just different rims and offsets? If it is rims, do they expect the bearings to deal with the greater offset? Granted, these models are designed for 2-1/2 times the cargo weight, so I hope the bearings are beefer than 710/712s.

And what is going on with those "cheeks"? I can't think of what they would stash in them except nuts for winter! I gues I'm in the same camp as Peter (not a bad camp to be in, IMHO). To each their own...

The "Mantis" Bonnet out version is I think based on the Pinzgauer rather than the Pinzgauer II, it has the same track. I will upload pictures and info on Pinzgauer (not Pinzgauer II) when I have time later today.
