Perhaps I should have posted this on the forum before I drilled the holes to find out if any one had done anything like this along with any problems they may have found.
I am suprised that the steel rims cracked as they are quite thick in this area, I wonder if the age of the steel has anything to do with it. Ive had to straighten a couple of my rims with a lump hammer and dolly so they seem to take some punishment.
Do you know how long after your rims were drilled when you noticed the cracks.
I will keep an eye open for anything like that on mine.
