The pinz2 catches were all made for bae. But as as far as the 716/718 were all made for US contract. The pinz2 is still in town i asked if i could see it i was told probly no

Gee's Eric, I'm honoured and embarassed! 
....but to be honest, I'd LOVE to see the Pinzgauer II, in the "flesh" so to speak, too!
I was talking (via email) to a guy from AT earlier in 2007 and he said that a number of employees of the Company kept an eye on the Pinzgauer Forums and they had "noted" my dislike of the Pinzgauer II aesthetics!
I guess I'm a marked man!
If you do get to see the vehicle and "if" it has the body removed so only the motor chassis/drivetrain and mechanicals are showing give me a yell and I'II be on the next plane over to see it too! ..... Ahh, give me a yell if I can see the vehicle full stop, I can always close my eyes when the body is in view

Oh - for those that don't know - the Isle of Man (IOM) is an island 30 miles long by 12 miles wide in the middle of the Irish Sea, midway between the UK and Ireland. It's the home of the TT and affectionately described as 80,000 alcoholics clinging to a rock!

Gotta say that I've just got back from test driving a 710 and a 712... and I'm pretty impressed. Okay - they are twice the price of a good 101 Landy, but the engineering is great and they seem pretty agile for this sort of vehicle...
So... looks like a Pinz it is - though my missue and I have been discussing the merits of 4x4 and 6x6 for the last 4 hours travelling home LOL!!!

Another good thing about Pinzgauers is that they can be tax exempt, pre '73, serviced to death and without having done many miles!
