That must have cost some dear money, as the body requires almost a complete 20' Container to ship. Hope you filled the body with goodies as well.
Great to have this thread. I managed to do all my conversion without using any type of trailer lifts (not planning on talkin the camper off in the future), and the camper is still separate from the chassis.

Cost is always a problem with people affected by Pinzgauer madness

Seeing the box is floating over my way.
Can you please elaborate on the saw?? i.e. what blade type, diameter etc as I am going to have to find an equivalent over here.

Any regular circular saw and a finer tooth carbide tipped blade meant of aluminum or plastic is what i used to cut the fiberglass foam box.

Cheers for that. I'll have to try the hardware store here next week. The problem here will be the people in the shop know nothing, mind you that is becoming a trend everywhere.

anyone got a picture of the cable plug connecting to the box?
I have a 2 pin plug but before I mod my cut off power switch plate I want to know I got the correct bit

not sure what you want a pic of. Two pins + and - with 4 wires in the cable. two + and two for - and sometimes another small wire that was is for illumination but have not seen it connected.

Thanks for that, it looks like I may have the correct vehicle mounted plug to fit then.
Here's hoping as the box arrives over the weekend, with a few days in customs. Hopefully it will still be in one piece.

I have to get the back off my M and the fit it up but seems only need to lop 700mm off the back
Full of cupboards which I need to remove/move

Try and use a free service like stashbox or shup.com The pics hosted on the other site need us to have a login for the forum.
So from what I understand your going to shorten the box? I'm a little unsure what the cuts your going to make are for.

Are you going to take from the middle? The rear has a metal frame Do you know the maker of your box? I have a pinz here with that same box with side doors.

Yep the ID plate is inside..... Can't recall what wriien now.
Will cut the 700mm off the rear as was sent a site where someone did the same thing, well to an ambulance box
So I think de-rivet the rear end and see how the rear door frame is held to the top and bottom rails.
Also have to move the lifting lug points and the roofrack mounting points so going to be interesting
Well and remove the rear interior fittings
Lucky I got a spare tub to mount it on and do the fiddling about first
