Even easier in Ontario, just need the ownership and a certification.

importing a PINZ

When I imported my bikes from the USA I had to inform the border 72 hours prior to crossing and show title. If the PINZ is RIV except do I just drive across the border and book an out of province inspection to get it registered?

No, you still have to submit paper work to the US border 72 hours in advance to export it out of the country. Once you got your title stamped by US export you can go right ahead with the canadian import. Canada costoms will give you the Form 1 import document that you will need to take to the registation office in order to purchase your out of province inspection request form
