If you reversed the cables to the batteries
That'd be my first guess too, except that he wrote this previously:
Thanks pinzinator. Here's the latest... It started right up, ran for about 30 seconds, and died.
IF it was reversed, he shouldn't have been able to start the truck, should he?. (Unless he swapped the cables again and neglected to mention it!)

Yes I do. It isn't showing ANY juice beyond the battery box. All the wires and connections in the box are good too. So are both batteries.

Ok here's the latest...

After swapping out the starter solenoid, it seems to be allowing juice to flow through the truck now but here's the problem:
When the battery switch is turned on, the starter kicks on! Even with the ignition key off, it tries to start as soon as the switch is turned.

Any ideas?

Short in the ignition switch or starter button?
