Here's Techmogogy's stuff back from powder coating. I got the tank guard installed as well but the lighting prohibited good photos. Maybe tomorrow. Now Jim can Get back to work on it.

Good progress today. got both roof racks off to the powder coat shop and headed to the desert. Within 10 min of showing up, I was given the green light to come in to the shop and get some sheet metal bent up. worked until 11 pm and got lots done. Will post pics soon.

Honored to have Andre and Anthony with us in the Arlington/Snohomish area.
What a difference that diesel tranny makes in a 710!
We spent the day shoveling out a a kindly donated barn -turned into a make-shift Pinzgauer surgery, where
a 712 to 710 transfer case-transplant is about to be performed.
How do you get a 7'8" tall 712 with roof rack into a 7'6" door in a barn? Just give a couple of teen age boys
a wrench -and turn your back for a few minutes. Walah! No door trim.
Cold, wet and tight quarters await the traveling duo for the next few days....

The supplied living quarters more than make up for the tight, cold, wet working conditions. Even got mints on the pillows!

716 and 718 had both manual and auto boxes. Engine was only a small change in Pinzes when they went from gas to diesel. The TDs were more refine and modernized and intended more for both commercial and military markets, though none materialized other UK and Commonweath countries. Automotive Technik being formed in the mid 90s was that driving force. Manufacturing was taken over by ATL and moved to the UK after 2000.
a little of the old ATL site
