With regard to the bolt issue listed a week ago or so ... When I had issues with a bolt in the block (I broke one  ) I borrowed an inductive heater from a friend. I put it on the other bolts and let it heat up until it was pretty hot. The heat transferred to the aluminum pretty well and, as someone previously said, the aluminum expands more than the steel bolt. in the end, removing the broken bolt cost me about $1000 because I had to have a speed shop machinist remove it, so I had them finish installing the rest. :( A small inductive heater that fits around the bolt works well.

Just a short post to give an update on my engine work, after 100km
I'm proud to report that engine is healthy,
compression is 135 psi on all 4 cylinders
leak-down test shows between 25% and 35%
And no oil leaks !!! :D :D
Thanks to Ron for sharing his experience,
I have used Hylomar Advanced Formula High Viscosity between the cylinder base and the block,
also used it around the oil pan gasket and oil cooler gasket.
It was my first engine job.
