That, like most steep slopes/hills, should be approached straight on so both front tires drop off at the exact same time.

Thanks! That was my approach on the way up and it was all the difference. Last year I drove it like a Jeep and was not successful! :D

I also think you had your thumbs (saw left I think) through steering wheel as you were coming down - with the wheels going all over that is a easy way to break them :?:

I can see how with a bit deeper hole and nothing for rear to grab it could swing right around :shock:
Other than the initial gas going over the top, I didn't touch the pedal. That was all idle speed. The sudden drop into the hole seemed to swing it around.

I do make a point of keeping my thumbs out, just startled me some and I gripped tight. I had that happen last year on a fairly flat, boulder ridden section of that same trail, albeit not so dramatic, with the rear locker on, and nearly kissed a tree with my rear end! :mrgreen:

yep, a whole bunch slower would have made the ride less bouncy. Still it is fun to watch the pinzies do their thing. All that happened is the truck wanted to line up with the placement of the front wheels. Had the approach been more squared up with the landing zone it would have not bounced like that, even at that speed. Great to see you trying shelf stuff. The best way to get comfortable is try them. Along with success comes comfort.
