After 7 years of zero problems, my carbs both started gushing gas out the sides. It was running fine before this. Did both my float valves just give up?

Turns out my cover plates for the jets were simply loose.

It's so nice when the fix turns out to be simple!

While you're there: you may want to replace the carb gaskets when you take off the covers. They're just o-rings that you can find at any hardware store and will save you from future fuel spewage.
