Repost from the original thread:

Meet Big Helga, a 6-wheel-drive, 1975 C306-Volvo. She was originally used as a military ambulance but has since been setup for event promotions. Although she may look huge, she is really the size of a Chevy Suburban.

She's been sitting for a while, got a carbureted straight six and needs a few things:

Systems check and needed fixes

Body work -rust spots need to be addressed

Salvage motorhome/trailer box outfitted... or fab in current box (+electrical)

Looking for advice on who can do a great job at a fair price in Norcal.

Let 'er rip!

We need way more pictures before we can offer help :)
Where are you located
Jim LaGuardia is in San Bernardino
Expedition Imports is in Vallejo but they don't do too much Volvo stuff

By Norcal I presume North of San Jose south of Eureka  a bit of a hunk of territory.

Well if your close to Vacaville, there's Red Label Automotive & Offroad. Alex owns that
shop he has Volvo and Pinz experience. I don't know what Fab or Restoration work he does
these days -- likely none, more like general maintenance these days givenhe typically has
backlog. Getting on his calendar is challenging. If that's way too far for you look into shops
that specialize in Offroad. If your willing to drive or get your 306 trailered then Dan's suggestion
would be your best choice.

Here's a few more photos when she was working for an ad agency. All black, now.

Thank you both for the recommendations. I'll make some calls next week. May be worth sending her down to SoCal if I can't find a shop with the time and expertise up here.

Much appreciated!

I think you are looking at two different shops. It's going to be rare that a shop will want to mess with body work who also do mechanical work. It's a little like finding a dentist who will also treat your blurry vision.

Nice rig. The tires look a little short for some reason. The best match are 315/75/16's.

Excellent point -a shop recommendation doing any of the above work well would be helpful :)

New tires will be part of this build, yes!
