New Years purchase opportunity. Episode 2, 712W

Post by Andre »

You’re hearing it here first. Jim Mettler’s family has decided it’s time to sell his built, CA titled and registered, 712W. It was featured in his interview with Vince for Episode 2 of the Real 4x4 Documentary.

Colleen has asked me to aid in the re-homing of this rare and capable piece of pinz history. I will be evaluating it’s condition and taking inventory of all the parts and accessories that will be released with the sale. I will also be making a comprehensive list of the upgrades that were made since he got it in 2001.

The family hasn’t come to any pre determined asking price but they are open to “as-is” offers to the right owner. I will be vetting potential buyers that are not familiar to the platform. I will also be making a service visit to it this year.

It is listed solely here for the next 3 weeks. After that, it will go public on my Facebook page.
Anyone interested should contact me directly as I will be handling all negotiations. Please respect the family’s wishes for privacy.

Colleen has no intention on selling her 710m.

Andre,
Actually that truck is not a 712W ( workshop ), rather a command or communication body (I don't remember the exact designation). It lacks the service doors on the side of the workshop body and has a raised roof through the center with Alpine windows for light. A super cool truck and is the only one I have ever seen.
